Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team to be based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of our technology company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including recording and posting of financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accuracy of financial data

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, and analyze financial results to identify trends and insights.

• Manage and reconcile bank accounts (local/international) and credit card statements, and monitor cash flow to ensure that the company is operating within its budget

• Liaise with banks and other financial institutions to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, and to resolve any issues that may arise

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial data, and provide support for any ad hoc financial reporting requests

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Work with auditors to comply with yearly audit and statutory requirements.

• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and board of directors, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.

• Utilize cloud-based/traditional accounting systems to streamline accounting processes and provide real-time access to financial data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role

• Accounting certification required with a solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, and ability to apply them in a technology company environment.

• Proficiency with cloud-based or traditional accounting systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide insights and recommendations based on financial data

• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
