Job Description

Job Purpose: dnata is one of the world's largest air services providers offering ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering services across five continents. We operate in 38 countries and 136 airports globally. Inventory Officer will pay a vital role in managing and controlling all the stores in dnata Technical Services (dTS) to ensure coordination of all stores in dTS and to ensure that for its optimal usage in supporting dnata operations In this role, you will: • Continuously review process/systems to ensure that they are cost effective and accordingly make recommendations to line manager. • Consistent monitoring of inventory levels to achieve minimum stock holding cost by ensuring prompt stock replenishment, receipts, binning and issue. He needs to develop a weekly monitoring report to ensure that replenishment of stocks for all dTS stores is being done accurately and on-time. Replenishment PR's must be issued on time. • Weekly review of GRN activities to ensure that all GRN activities are completed/actioned and no received items are left without raising GRN. • Ensure that life expiry dates of consumables with expiry life are properly monitored and actioned by ensuring that life expired parts are removed from storage and disposed • Conducting regular visits to all dTS Stores to meet the team to ensure that the store is run properly by providing guidance and directives to solve lingering and recurrent issues. • Management of Quarantined Parts by developing a bi-weekly monitoring report of rejected parts in the quarantine area. Liaise with the Vendors and arrange to return and replace the rejected parts • Plan and schedule deliveries to various stores in DXB and DWC to ensure that items are available to enable proper operation in user departments • Responsible for inspecting the received parts to ensure that they are correct as per order, are free from damage and meet all the company specifications • Act as liaison between suppliers, Materials Planning and P&L • Monitor and conduct periodic physical stock checks and forward any discrepancies identified to the management for reconciliation. Contribute towards forecasting the stores requirements during budget preparation. Would need to evaluate the associated risks of discontinuity of supply/extended delivery periods etc. prior to choosing and recommending suppliers in order to avoid delay in procuring materials

Qualifications & Experience: To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements: • Minimum 5 years in similar role / industry • Minimum 12 years of schooling (Bachelor’s would be an added advantage) • Knowledge of computerised inventory systems is Mandatory • Excellent time management and good inter- personal skills • Proficient in MS office applications
