JOB SUMMARY

The graphic designer is in charge of developing and carrying out the idea briefs for restaurants and bars, operational presentations, website upgrades, and digital media, in addition to creating outlet brand guidelines and logo development. Project will range from image editing and artwork scaling to presentation and collateral creation from scratch. The candidate should have the skill to manage branding for specified venues in accordance with pre-established. The chosen candidate will be well-versed in branding, identity, typography, typesetting, photography, and layout. They will also have a keen eye for picture grouping, outstanding attention to detail, and innovative and creative thinking. The candidate will bring in a fresh look of creativity to the projects of the team. Strong proofreading abilities in English would be important.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participating in various design projects from concept to completion
  • Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
  • Liaising with the F&B team in content across presentations and creative decks
  • Branding of concepts and outlets in collaboration with Design & Development
  • Photo-editing of images and sourcing of new images when needed
  • Reviewing and ensuring that all document are spell checked and have proper grammar
  • Participating in required team meetings
  • Reporting back the team ongoing creative and visual trends within the hospitality and other relevant industries
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas for concepts
  • Developing templates for other to use to help speed up the design process
  • Contributing ideas and design artwork to overall projects, as well as providing innovative graphic solutions
  • Brainstorming and mocking up design ideas, demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches
  • Working to meet tight deadlines
  • Meeting with marketing manager/executives to discuss the business objectives and requirements of projects
  • Working alongside external creative third parties on an as needed basis
  • Assisting in creativity and development of projects through expertise
  • Shape visual aspects of websites
  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Amend designs after feedback

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a graphic design role in any of the following industries: media, advertising, design, marketing communications, corporations, or Graphic Design studies
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in written and verbal English is a must

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to string together a series of image the look like they belong in the same document and tell a key story about the concept
  • Detail oriented with a track record of follow through and delivery
  • Pitch creative ideas
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to follow and put into action, instructions from R+B team on specified projects
  • Apple Mac / PC literate with competency in all major design computer packages
  • Strong creative ability in the following software is a must: Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Premier pro and Flash is a plus.
  • Good knowledge on WIX Web Ex
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Strong creative abilities in HTML coding is an advantage
  • Knowledgeable about working with corporate brands and adhering/ advising on brand guidelines
  • Experience and knowledge on specifications for printing-related matters
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships e.g. stakeholders, associates, customers, vendors, suppliers
  • Ability to create innovative design projects and implement them
  • Excellent product and technical knowledge
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet expectations, deadlines, and commitments
  • Enthusiastic with a positive outlook and flexible mindset
  • Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude

Education or Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graphic Design Degree
