Roles & Responsibilities

The position is responsible to plan, execute and coordinate for the timely collection, transportation & disposal of waste, in accordance with the contract scope; Also, ensure high customer satisfaction in business.

• Plan and execute non-hazardous and hazardous waste collection from clients, as assigned. Also, to monitor waste collection services and its efficiency
• Plan and schedule staff & vehicle on daily basis, generate work orders and effectively communicate it to the concerned employees
• To track, record, manage and resolve project issues and customer complaints and escalate, when necessary
• To effectively communicate, motivate, train and manage a team of Drivers and Helpers, if assigned
• Ensure high standard of housekeeping in the yard & waste handling areas (client site).
• Prepare work orders, time sheets, tickets for all activities and dispatch to team for the next shift, if assigned
• Plan mobilization, maintenance and demobilization of company equipment's and other assets, based on business requirements; Also maintain its inventory
• Keying of operational data in the system, but not limited to employee attendance and overtime, waste collection and client records etc.
• Liaise with the workshop and the procurement to ensure availability of assets and for the vehicle maintenance programs, if assigned
• Ensure all planned jobs are executed & report all failed / delayed collections to manager; Also, follow up on dropped collections & reschedule the collections.
• To do GPS tracking for efficiency optimization, if assigned
• To ensure cross-functional coordination, particularly with the Workshop, QHSE, and Credit Control Departments, so as to effectively resolve cross-functional issues, if assigned
• To maintain good and long-lasting relationship with clients by providing support, information and guidance, researching and recommending waste management solutions and service improvement initiates
• To liaise with governmental or any other concerned authorities for any required approvals
• To Prepare the required monthly and /or any other MIS report, as assigned by your reporting manager
• Monitor market conditions and competitor activity and provide its feedback to the Line Manager
• To maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning, by attending educational workshop, training and e-learning programs, by reviewing professional publications and by benchmarking best practices
• Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE and company policies and procedures, UAE laws and applicable regulations
• To work ethically and to report any violations and acts that may affect the health, safety, environment, ethics and company reputation
• To Perform any other task, as assigned from time to time by the company, based on business requirement.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Graduation or higher, from an accredited University.
• Specialized knowledge: knowledge in planning / logistics preferred
• Skills: Report writing, General Administration, Communication, Organizational, Analytical and Interpersonal skills and Commercial awareness
• Computer Skills: Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, internet, etc.)
• Other characteristics such as personal characteristics: Should be a team player, honest, self-confident, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably with at least 1 year in the waste management industry.

Working conditions

• Needs to work more independently and mostly from office
• Standard hours of work. Sometimes, based on business requirements, the employee maybe required to work for extended hours
• Required to work in any assigned duty timing, in the day or night shift,
• days a week, with one day off in a week;
• Also, need to work in any assigned branch or location
• May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells and may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.

Physical requirements

• Expected to dress professionally, as per the company standards
• There may be a requirement to physically inspect waste on duty.
• Must be in good health, physically fit and with good vision
