Roles & Responsibilities
Supporting the growth of the Serco reputation within KSA.
Provide technical writing support to the Programme Director and the wider team in fulfilling Serco’s deliverables and contractual obligations.
Support the matrixed organization in the effective delivery of complex contract deliverables by holistically integrating various deliverables through different disciplines.
Provide leadership in the technical writing and compilation of final deliverables/documentation to support the Programme Director.
Engage and maintain close working relationships within the client, partner Consultancy, wider Serco team and strategic partners in order to optimize delivery of our services
Review, update and finalize all deliverables and supporting document types with support and inputs from the wider Serco team to formulate a complete, flowing and compliant set of deliverables as required per stage.
Support in the development of internal Document Management Systems , a process to ensure document production review and efficient approval of documents.
Manage and control the flow of information and documents, internally and externally (Customers document Management system).
Provide comprehensive technical writing expertise and review in the completion of the technical documents.
Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards
Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Serco non-disclosure policy
To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Serco organizational HSE responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment
Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process
This position may be required to carry out other tasks from time to time as directed by the Serco Middle East Leadership team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical and Professional Skills
Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field on national / international major initiatives and developments.
Recognized expertise in assigned field.
Record of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders and wider commercial and public sector stakeholders.
Expert in development and implementation of best practice technical documentation.
Extensive experience of working internationally (preference for Middle East / KSA).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A proven track record of instituting continuous improvement and change management
Extensive Experience in document management local and web-based systems (internationally leading document management systems)
Knowledge
Demonstrable subject matter expertise (and where appropriate accreditation) across the following elements of technical writing and document production management:
Facility Management
Asset Management
Property Management
RFP writing
Procedures
Processes
Plans
Templates
Operations and Maintenance
Flow Charts, diagrams and illustrations
Document Management Systems
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science / Engineering from an accredited university
Further degree/ qualifications preferred
