Roles & Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing relationships with clients, project managers, designers, consultants, and government institutions.

Responsibilities:

· Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.

• Create and expand Group's footprint and build positive top of mind awareness.
• Attend industry events and other meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects.
• Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to the management team.
• Coordinate and assist in the proposal process with Group’s Technical and project management teams.
• Complete construction bids and monitor and manage bid activity
• Build a construction proposal template library that can be used by the entire Sales/BD department
• Convert potential opportunities into Projects
• Create development plans and growth opportunities for team member

Desired Candidate Profile

· Must hold Bachelor degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering

· Business Development experience (prefer 10-15 years) in the steel / construction industry with a successful track record of building relationships.

· Good understanding of the GCC construction industry

· Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations.

· Outstanding presentation and relationship building skills.

· Ability to travel as needed, sometimes at short notice.
